Easter Wreath Workshop

Last Saturday we had our first workshop at Sunday Farmhouse!

An Everlasting Easter Wreath Workshop. With an abundant amount of foliage, from gum nuts to orange slices, feathers and ferns, billy buttons and bunny tails, our guests created extraordinary wreaths capturing the organic tones of the this lovely season. Pops of pink, sage green eucalyptus, candied lemonade and metallic seed pods created pastel posies sweet enough for a Beatrix Potter story.

As the morning drizzle of rain cleared, the day allowed for a cool Saturday under the shade of Grandfather’s Shed illuminated with warm festoon lights. The vintage cart which has been passed down through generations held the dried florals of various textures and colours.

With a demonstration to start, our guests then begun their wreath creations. Gaining inspiration from the environment, some wreaths were wild and rustic while others had a symmetrical focus. Hero elements of pine cones and spotted Guinea foul feathers allowed for unique designs while some were drawn to the untamed willow branches. Linen ribbon and nutmeg coloured twine helped finish off the arrangements.

The gorgeous Ally from The Joan Collective joined us half way to take the incredible photos featured in this blog, and how divine they are! I couldn’t recommend Ally enough for her attention to detail and her kind and attentive manner.

Morning tea quenched the hard working team with scones complete with homemade jam and cream, some cheeky Easter eggs and raspberry and white chocolate muffins. It didn’t stop there! Champagne was popped and dandy chai tea was served in ornate glassware to complete the look.
